Sponsored Content
It’s our editorial policy to clearly label any content that might be sponsored as such. If content is not labeled as “sponsored” that means that it is not sponsored.
If a brand does pay for an article or a video, I always let them know that I can’t guarantee a positive review and insist on having the editorial freedom to be honest with you, my audience.
If a brand is insistent on getting a positive review, I simply won’t agree to work with them.
Affiliate Links
Sometimes I might share a link to a product or service that is an affiliate link. This is a way for me to recommend products and brands that I like and also earn some money to help pay the bills and “keep the lights on”.
Running this website and creating content can be a lot of work, so if you happen to click on an affiliate link and buy sometihng, I appreciate it, but of course, you don’t have to.
If I ever share an affiliate link:
- you can be sure that you won’t be paying any more than the normal price (in fact, sometimes you’ll be getting a discount AND I’ll also get a commission), and
- I’ll put a label somewhere near the link to make it clear that it’s an affiliate link such as “ad”, “sponsored” or “affiliate link”.
